Northern Virginia Golf Photographer - Manassas Stonewall Golf Club - Pro Am Charity Tournament

On Wednesday, I had the privilege to document the 2009 Stonewall Golf Club Pro Am Charity Tournament dedicated to raising funds for the local cancer treatment center. We were blessed with clear blue skies all day, and even though the wind was whipping pretty hard, the overall scores were excellent from the players. There were 28 teams in total, with 1 pro PGA player and 3 amateurs (who for the most part were giving the pros a run for their money) in each team. At each of the three Par 3 holes, there were hole-in-one competitions at which, anyone who managed to make a hole-in-one, won a brand new car! There was even a $100,000 shootout at the end, which remained unclaimed, but two individuals came very close. After the round, the teams came inside for appetizers and to bid on various auctions in order to raise additional funds for the cancer center.
