Northern Virginia Golf Photographer - Manassas Stonewall Golf Club - Pro Am Charity Tournament

On Wednesday, I had the privilege to document the 2009 Stonewall Golf Club Pro Am Charity Tournament dedicated to raising funds for the local cancer treatment center. We were blessed with clear blue skies all day, and even though the wind was whipping pretty hard, the overall scores were excellent from the players. There were 28 teams in total, with 1 pro PGA player and 3 amateurs (who for the most part were giving the pros a run for their money) in each team. At each of the three Par 3 holes, there were hole-in-one competitions at which, anyone who managed to make a hole-in-one, won a brand new car! There was even a $100,000 shootout at the end, which remained unclaimed, but two individuals came very close. After the round, the teams came inside for appetizers and to bid on various auctions in order to raise additional funds for the cancer center. Washington DC Event Photographer - Magic Johnson Teach Award Partnership

Magic Johnson came to town late last week to speak at Bell Multicultural Highschool near Columbia Heights, and I was lucky enough to be asked to document his visit. I've gotta say, he's a BIG dude! He's also an incredible businessman and excellent motivational speaker! He came to present the school with a Best Buy Teach Award and to announce a partnership that will provide 160 students with scholarships to give the kids the brightest future possible. The whole school was ecstatic that he was able to show up, pose for pictures, shake hands, and sign shirts, basketballs, and other memorabilia that students had with them.

Baltimore Event Photographer - Knoll Generation Chair Launch Party

Knoll had a party for their latest product launch the Generation Chair (amazingly comfortable!) and invited me to document their event. It was held at Silo Point, which is one of the coolest and newest residential buildings in Baltimore. It used to be a grain mill/silo and was recently renovated to be an amazing place to live with an incredible view of the city. I also had the pleasure of meeting and trying out some of Parfections hand-made chocolates, which were probably the best I've ever had! One of the perks of shooting an event like this. Check out the Generation Chair and all the configuration options at SitHowYouWant.com (it's a lot of fun, sort of like customizing a Mini Cooper!)
