Maryland Wedding Photographer - Katie + Jeff

Katie and Jeff had a beautiful wedding last weekend at the Woodend Sanctuary in Chevy Chase Maryand, which is one of my favorite outdoor venues. Moshe Zusman and I lucked out, missing rain at every turn (the first drop hit as we were leaving the Jefferson Memorial and stopped before the ceremony). They had some of the most touching vows, with both of them tearing up as they read in front of their wonderful friends and family. It was such a special event for their family also, because Katie and Jeff will be leaving for Kenya soon to begin their new lives together (what a cool place to live, right?)! The newlyweds also suprised their guests with some serious moves for their first dance (I think they should audition for dancing with the stars!) and DJ D-Mac kept the party going all night long.

Wedding Photographer - Bethesda - Azadeh + Farzad

My friend Moshe and I photographed an awesome Persian wedding the other day, complete with belly dancers swords and tourists! This couple was so cool to work with and would literally do anything we asked of them, including cutting their cake with a katana! Yes, we kind of asked as a joke, but they were down for it! It's always great when you are able to have complete creative control, that's really when you can get some really unique photos. We also took them to downtown Chevy Chase to get some sweet group photos of their entire (huge) wedding party, this really drew a crowd, including a large group of tourists and passerby's who joined in on the shoot!

Washington DC Wedding Photographer - Woodend Chevy Chase Maryland - Emily and Ben

My friend Moshe called me up last minute to help him cover Emily and Ben's wedding at the beautiful Woodend in Chevy Chase Maryland. We shot there earlier this year, but this time we lucked out with beautiful weather, clear blue skies and a nice cool breeze whispering through the trees. This had to have been one of the most fun couples I've photographed this year. Emily (who looked stunning in her dress) was letting tears of joy run down her face as friends and family performed readings during the ceremony, while Ben was grinning ear to ear the entire day. It's rare when a bride is willing to get her dress a little dirty on the day of the wedding (Trash-the-dress sessions are awesome by the way! Call me if you'd like to have one!), but Emily was actually willing to go running through the field with Ben for us, even though there were little thorns everywhere and a it had rained the night before. Enjoy this little taste of the day!
